Merlin are helping International In-house Testing Laboratories.

We have successfully worked with a range of international pharmaceutical testing laboratories throughout 2020 and into 2021. We completed powder characterisation tests required by our clients to keep pharmaceutical development on track, safely and cost-effectively.

Supporting Customers

Covid restrictions have meant that, across the globe, we have all had to learn how to work differently. Sometimes, we've found our customers can't access their planned facilities. We have been able to step in with press simulations and predictive testing to reduce the project risk and keep things moving.

Social distancing has also meant that many staff in the industry are working from home, without local access to a laboratory. This is another industry setback that has been supported through the use of our in-house testing machine.

Adapting How We Work

We have adapted to different ways of working with policies, such as our COVID-19 safe systems of work policy. This has allowed us to support clients whilst keeping the health and safety of our staff at the forefront of operations. The policy includes having designated areas of work for Merlin employees only, with restrictions for essential visitors and deliveries. This reduces footfall in key areas, protecting our staff and reducing the spread of the virus.

Thorough cleaning is regularly conducted, for touchpoints and communal areas. Handwashing and face coverings are also strictly maintained to protect individuals and those working around them. Finally, each member of staff is assigned a designated workspace to reduce points of contact.

We have continued to work safely and effectively throughout 2020 and 2021. This has allowed us to increase the rate of testing at our laboratory, based on 2019 statistics.

We are confident that our testing services can continue to provide essential support to pharmaceutical companies at this time, by producing increased testing, at a swift, cost-effective, and quality rate.
