Merlin was a sponsor of the Compaction Simulation Forum in Dublin.
The Merlin team had the great opportunity to join fellow scientists, academics and pharmaceutical manufacturers at the Compaction Simulation Forum, which was held in Dublin, from the 4th to the 6th of June. This is our 3rd year of sponsoring the meal at the event.
The compaction simulation forum brought together attendees to discuss and learn about tablet research in compaction. We were impressed by the breadth and quality of the Compaction simulation forum talks over the 3 days. We've come away with plenty of ideas for improving our investigation of material characterisation. It was great to hear the exciting new research on these topics. We can use a compaction simulator to find what problems may arise when scaling up. By changing the experimental design, punch profile, compression speed, and tooling, we can see the likely risks to development.
Merlin sponsored the Gala dinner held on the 5th of June which was enjoyed by all that attended the conference.
It is great to see the next generation of compaction scientists so passionate about improving tablet development. Charlotte Cartwright gave a presentation at the event, and it was a pleasure to see so many posters from industry and academia.
We are looking forward to next year’s conference that will be held in San Fransisco.
